Lunch Box #2
Labels:
**happy-box
Every Wednesday my son's kindergarten give them biscuits as snack. I thought since they are having biscuits, I might as well let him bring his own. So I have been preparing little snacks on most Wednesdays for him unless he requested I do it on other days too. The school requested that parents not to prepare greasy or messy food. So the ones I prepared are mostly sandwiches and cakes.
Since I'm including Lunch Box ideas here, I'm adding this too. Perhaps when he goes to Primary 1 next year, I'll add more stuff in it.
What you see here is bread with Luncheon Meat (Spam for some of you) and apples.

ReplyDeleteOh yay! My favourite cook has gone into lunch boxing! I am always having headache on what to prepare for my 2 kids. Looking forward to more of your delicious ideas!
ReplyDeleteFor your spam sandwich, how do you get the bread to stay wrapped up so nicely? It looks so neat!
I luv your "mushroom shape" apples! Will it turn brownish by the time your kid eat them?
ReplyDeletehow do you prevent your apples from turning brown?
ReplyDeleteYea! I like the apples in mushroom shape, it look so so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for kind comments.
ReplyDeleteTo answer the questions here:
1. To prevent the apples from turning brown, I soak them in salt water for 10 sec.Drain them after that and don't wash it.
2. To wrap the luncheon meat, I place the bread on the sushi mat and flatten it (that's how I get the marks). Put the veg and meat on the bread and you roll them up. Make sure the end of the bread has nothing on and you give the bread roll a little squeeze to 'stick' them.
Have fun!
Another brilliant creation from WokkingMum!!!
