Shark's Fin Melon Soup with Sweet Corn 鱼刺瓜玉米汤

6 burps:

  1. Wow! That is pretty much how mum would make this soup too! Sometimes it's a beany type one and she would put black-eyed beans in the soup. I like eating the corn! ;0)

  2. PlumLeaf, Thanks. Oh! Adding black-eye beans in it? Got to try that next time. Thanks for the suggestion. ^^

  3. Hi, can you share with me how to handle the sharkfin melon to get it in such nice shredded form? Is it the way to cut the melon at certain angle? Thank you.

  4. @Linda, I always buy the melon already sliced (like a watermelon). I peel off the skin and chop it straight in equal large chunks so the 'shreds' will be long. Because I removed the skin, the melon will break into smaller pieces when it's soften. Hope this helps.

  5. Hey, can you tell me how do we blanch the pork?

  6. Have pot of boiling water ready and add the pork to let cook for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the amount and size of the pork. After that, just remove the pork and rinse to remove the scum on the pork. That's all. :)
